What others say
A few testimonies by film makers that have worked with Greenwich Film Unit...
Drama: Law and Order
Just a quick note to say thank you very much for your help and support during our filming of Law and Order UK. All of our location filming has gone well, which is due to the close support that we have had from you, and your understanding that we may have to ask for the odd thing at short notice. Thanks again for your help.

Over the last 14 years I have been involved in filming many productions in Greenwich from idents to feature films, promos to commercials. It's not only the rich diversity of locations in Greenwich but the fantastic help from the Film Unit who have never failed to make filming in Greenwich an absolute pleasure. Many thanks to you all at the Film Unit.
Nick Williams - Location Manager, BBC
Drama: Spooks
Having just completed filming in the borough of Greenwich I would like to take this opportunity to thank Greenwich Film Unit for all their help. They have been extremely helpful in sourcing locations and suggesting ways to overcome logistical problems that make filming here very straight forward. I have found their ability to turn round applications in a short space of time invaluable. I look forward to filming in Greenwich in the future.

Drama: Sleep With Me
Once again many thanks for all your recent assistance with our filming, without your help it would not have been possible. The results are very pleasing and I am sure you will be happy with them.
Mark Gladwin Location Manager, Quite Funny Films Ltd
Feature film: Eastern Promises
We are writing on behalf of Eastern Promises Films and in particular the Location Department, to thank you for your kind co-operation in enabling our production to film in Greenwich. We hope the experience was a positive one for you, as the shoot was amazingly successful from our point of view. It would not have happened with out you.
David Broder Location Manager, 'Eastern Promises' Films Ltd
Feature film: Children Of Men
The production design for the set and scenes shot in Woolwich did not include any London landmarks, so theoretically we could have shot this sequence on allocation/town outside London. However, Greenwich Film Unit were very accommodating and understanding of our demanding range of requirements. This thankfully allowed us to dress and film two streets, giving us a wide range of architecture and control required for our exterior and interior filming.Woolwich played a large part of our location jigsaw, which has been very much appreciated, keeping the production as a London-based film and keeping our urban locations with the M25.
Michael Sharp Supervising Location Manager, Quietus Productions
Documentary: George Orwell
The Greenwich Film Unit is almost certainly the best borough unit in London- efficient, helpful, resourceful and understanding. The Officers are fully clued up on their borough and know the business so thoroughly that they make it look easy.
Tom McDonald - Location Manager, Wall To Wall TV
Drama: Faking It
Out of all the boroughs I'd say Greenwich is definitely one of the most helpful.
James Khoury - Location Manager, Faking It Productions
Feature film: All Or Nothing
The Film Unit were great. We were delighted with the help we received. They were incredibly sympathetic and supportive.
Simon Channings-Williams - Producer, Thin Man Films Ltd
Feature film: What A Girl Wants
Greenwich Film Unit are always incredibly helpful, flexible and friendly and made filming in Greenwich very comfortable for the 'What a Girl Wants' team. They provide results at very short notice with complete understanding of the needs and pressures of film making in the capital. I look forward to filming in the borough in the future.
