Sales of lofts and garages

If you would like to buy a garage that you rent from the Royal Borough of Greenwich or the loft space above your flat we may consider selling it to you, subject to certain conditions.

Garages

The Royal Borough may consider selling you your garage, but the following conditions will apply:

  1. The sale of the garage must be approved by us
  2. A valuer will be asked to decide a price for the garage
  3. Once the price has been agreed, the final decision on the sale will be made at the next council meeting
  4. If the sale of the garage is agreed, a transfer of ownership will be made.

Please note we will not consider selling a garage if it forms part of a larger garage site or bank of linked garages.

For more information regarding buying your garage, please contact the Home Ownership Service.
