Unitary Development Plan

Vision for developing the borough

A Unitary Development Plan (UDP) sets out a vision for providing new homes, jobs, transport and local services, whilst also protecting the environment. The Greenwich Unitary Development Plan, together with the, forms the current development plan for our borough.

Every planning application to build something new, or change the use of land or buildings in Greenwich, is considered against policies set out within this plan. This makes the document very important for our environment - now and in the future.

Until the the Local Development Framework is adopted, the 'saved' policies of the Unitary Development Plan remain relevant for planning purposes.
